Become a Mentor and Volunteer

“ Don’t ever question the value of volunteers. Noah’s Ark was built by volunteers; the Titanic was built by professionals.”

One of the things that makes Davenport Ridge so special is that there are so many people who are willing to give their time and energy to volunteer for our children’s sake.

We have organized the events in a new online system. Events are listed according to the major community events held at Davenport where parents can participate and help. Each section has a  description of the activities so that parents can consider their level of involvement and time commitment, month by month, throughout the school calendar year.

If you are able to volunteer, please remember that you are truly appreciated even when we don’t see you in action or we forget to stop you that day to tell you. You are a very important part of our school community. Additionally, the children are also very proud when they see their parents involved and helping at their school. Thank you so much for all that you do.

Welcome to the NEW Davenport PTO Website

Welcome to our newly redesigned website! We have created a more navigable website with additional resources, better tools, and a new visual design. We have endeavored to add helpful content and improve the layout and navigation, always with you, the Davenport Ridge Community, in mind. Our intention is to make this site your one stop shop for all matters relating to Davenport PTO and many essentials for day-to-day interaction with Davenport.

Now, in addition to learning about upcoming school and PTO events, you can sign up to volunteer at them without leaving the website by using our volunteer spot sign up. To review your sign-up, you can simply go to the PTO website–no more hunting down old emails!

We’ve created an online Spirit Store where you can buy Spiritwear, tickets to upcoming PTO events and much more.

We know that many parents rely on the Blast, so we put all Blast-related functions at your fingertips. If you missed a Blast, you can find it in the archive. Would grandparents like to receive Blast? They can now register for the Blast on the PTO website. You can even submit an information item through the website for possible inclusion in the Blast using our Blast Submission Form.

One of our objectives is to make the PTO website your fastest route to the information that will help you get your Davenport student to school and school activities efficiently. To this end, we provide one-click links to the Davenport Ridge website, daily announcements, daily schedule, and calendar.

Another key objective is to familiarize parents with the many different functions of the PTO so you can fully take advantage of them and participate as you want. Our About the PTO page enumerates the many programs that the PTO offers. Our PTO Directory page lists the PTO board members and committee chairs for easy contact.

The new website offers many ways to become involved in and support the PTO. You can make an online contribution, shop on by accessing it through the PTO website so a portion of your purchase price comes to the PTO, volunteer at one of our events, and view on one page the ongoing and upcoming fundraisers.

Of course you can contact the PTO directly through the website. We want to hear from you! If you see a gap that the PTO might fill, please let us know. If you’d like to offer feedback on our programs, please do!

We hope you will take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the website’s new features by scrolling through the tabs and clicking on buttons of interest. We are striving to ensure that the site is useful and up to date with the latest news and events, so that you can be too! As always, we very much welcome your comments and feedback at [email protected].
